The M/V SCAN FJORD, a Norwegian cargo vessel, has been brought into our dock for the comprehensive modernization of the existing vessel and the implementation of new technical solutions and systems.
The objective of the project is to improve the vessel’s operational efficiency, modernize key technical systems, adapt the vessel to current operational requirements, and ensure compliance with applicable classification and statutory requirements.
The scope of the works includes, in particular:
- replacement of the propulsion system, including the necessary modifications to associated systems;
- modernization and modification of existing shipboard systems;
- reconstruction and adaptation of deck and machinery systems;
- integration of new technical solutions with the vessel’s existing infrastructure;
- adaptation of equipment and systems to current classification, statutory and operational requirements;
- implementation of solutions aimed at increasing the reliability, efficiency and safety of the vessel’s operation.
The project goes beyond the scope of standard repair and maintenance works and involves significant modernization and reconstruction of the vessel’s key systems.
All works are being carried out in close cooperation with the Owner’s representatives and under the supervision of the Classification Society, while maintaining full compliance with class requirements, Flag State administration requirements and applicable international regulations.
